Meet Our Team

Shawneka Pettis is the Director of Business Operations at Laurel Grove by Barclay House. Originally from Oxford, Mississippi, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Healthcare, as well as a CNA license and a Senior Living Administrator license in Georgia.

Shawneka has worked in senior living since 2009, starting as a CNA and progressing into leadership roles across nursing homes, hospitals, and assisted living communities. She loves building relationships with residents and hearing their life stories.

Her favorite part of working at QSLM is the teamwork and shared mission to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. Outside of work, Shawneka enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.

Tricia Maynard id the Activities Coordinator at Laurel Grove by Barclay House. She is a certified Acitivty Coordinator, having completed her certificate from the Georgia Health Care Association, and has been in the field since 2012. For Tricia, the best part about working with seniors is being able to keep them engaged with activities and outings, or by just being there for the conversation. Her favorite thing about working with QSLM is the freedom to plan and schedule activities she feels fits current residents. Tricia appreciates being able to do so much with them. 

Tricia was born and raised in Road Island and moved to Georgia in 2005 after having enough of the snow and cold winters. Her family loves being in the South, but they do miss the summers in Road Island - especially the beaches and seafood!

Outside of work, Tricia and her husband enjoy taking day trips to explore Georgia because there is so much history and beautiful places to see. She also enjoys spending time with their two granddaughters, three-and-a-half and six years old. Her two sisters live close by, so she spends as much time together with them as possible.
