Paul DuPlessis serves as the Executive Director at The Blake at Colonial Club. He is from Slidell, LA, by way of Los Angeles, CA. He has an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix and a BA in Business Management from Belhaven University. He’s also a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) and has additional certifications in social services and insurance. He’s spent more than a decade serving as a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator at several communities throughout Louisiana. His background is rooted in culture-building, regulatory excellence, crisis communication, and supporting teams through periods of growth and change. The most meaningful part of his career has been helping staff rediscover pride in their work and watching residents thrive because of it.
Paul’s favorite part of working with seniors is the connection. He says, “Seniors have incredible stories, wisdom, and resilience, and being part of their lives, earning their trust and making their days brighter, is something I genuinely cherish." His favorite part of working at QSLM is the people. “From the residents who feel like family to the staff who consistently go above and beyond, there’s a sense of purpose and heart here that you can feel as soon as you walk in,” he says. “Being part of a team that truly cares is what motivates me every day.”
When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, going to his kids’ sporting events, and finding new ways to stay active and centered. He’s a big believer in personal growth, so he also enjoys diving into leadership books and learning something new whenever he can.
Paul is passionate about creating a community where residents feel loved and staff feel supported. His goal is always to lead with compassion, communicate openly, and make The Blake at Colonial Club a place where everyone feels that they belong.
