The Blake at LPGA’s management team is made up of industry professionals with years of experience providing exceptional senior services and care. We are committed to raising the bar on quality living for seniors, and we’re proud of the work we do every day.
Jennifer King
Director of Sales
Jennifer King is from a small town just outside of downtown Grand Rapids called Standale in Michigan. "Growing up we called it Standstill because nothing ever changes," she jokes. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.S. in Hospitality Management and a minor in General Business, and her background is in Sales & Marketing for Senior Living, Retail Management, Hotels, and Events. Her favorite part of working with seniors is creating relationships and getting to know their stories, and she loves helping their families during the research process, enhancing their lives, and watching them thrive and be happy.
Jennifer's favorite parts about working for the Blake are the company's vision, the dedication of the CEO, the quality products that the Blake offers and its integrity to deliver those products, the passionate company culture, and the people I work with. Outside of work, her passions are travel, ancient civilizations, history, food, and wine. She also enjoys yoga, pilates, barre, and dancing.
Emilie Priske
Director of Business Operations
Emilie is the Director of Business Operations here at The Blake at LPGA. She is a native Floridian and grew up in Sanford before moving to New Smyrna Beach.
Before moving into the Senior Living Industry, Emilie worked in various other industries, including healthcare, customer service, and office administration.
Emilie's favorite part of working with seniors is being able to form connections with them. She enjoys hearing their stories and learning all about their life experiences. She enjoys working for The Blake because she loves building relationships, helping families with the transition, and guiding them through their processes.
When she is not working, Emilie enjoys spending time with her two children and fiancé. They love enjoying water activities like going to the beach, water parks, or just sitting by the pool.
Ariel Barnes
Sales Coordinator
Ariel Barnes is the Sales Coordinator at The Blake at LPGA. Originally from Bradenton, Florida, she has a Bachelor’s in Education from Bethune-Cookman University. She has a diverse background in education, healthcare, human resources, and senior living. Her experience includes serving as a teacher, Business Office Assistant, Patient Registration Specialist, nurse, Human Resources professional, Admissions Director, and Social Services Director, all of which have strengthened her passion for helping others and building meaningful relationships.
Ariel loves building meaningful relationships with seniors, learning from their life experiences, and knowing that she can make a positive difference in their lives.
When she’s not working, Ariel enjoys reading, traveling, taking vacations with her family, and spending quality time with her two children. She loves creating meaningful memories with them and taking advantage of opportunities to relax, explore new places, and enjoy life together.
Sandy Link
Director of Activities
Sandy is the Director of Activities here at The Blake at LPGA. She is a native Floridian and loves to spend time at the beach.
Sandy is a Certified Activities Professional, as well as a Certified Dementia Care Coordinator. Prior to making the move into the Senior Living Industry, Sandy worked as a Girl Scout Camp Director, as well as a Pre K teacher.
Sandy's favorite part of working with seniors is building relationships and getting to experience the joy with them when doing activities. She says that it always puts a smile on her face.
When she is not working, Sandy enjoys traveling and going to theme parks.
Monica Blatz
Reunion Program Coordinator
Monica is the Reunion Program Coordinator here at The Blake at LPGA. She is a native Floridian and loves to spend time outdoors with friends and family.
Monica is a Certified Activities Professional, as well as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Prior to making the move into the Senior Living Industry, Monica was an AIFD floral designer and owned and operated a flower shop in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Monica's favorite part of working with seniors is creating connections and sharing meaningful moments with them. She feels blessed to be able to make a positive impact on them each day and be a part of their lives. Her favorite part of working at The Blake is being around like-minded individuals who strive for excellence and professional customer service.
When she is not working, Monica enjoys being active outdoors. Some of her favorite hobbies include gardening, walking along the beach, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
Whitney James
Director of Memory Care
Whitney James is the Director of Memory Care. Whitney comes from Palatka, Florida. Her experience is mainly in skilled and long-term care. She also worked in hospice, home health, and correctional nursing. Her favorite part of working with seniors is spending time with residents. She loves getting to know each resident individually, hearing their life stories and learning their backgrounds. "There is always an opportunity to gain wisdom!" she says. Her favorite part of working at The Blake is the teamwork. "Everyone is always willing to give a helping hand," she says. "The environment was very welcoming from day one."
When she isn't working, she likes binge-watching Grey's Anatomy and spending time with her husband and three girls.
Marissa Rodriguez
Director of Dining Services
Marissa is the Director of Dining Services here at The Blake at LPGA. She is a native Floridian and was born and raised in Daytona Beach. She has 18 years of experience in hospitality, with 8 of those specializing within the Senior Living industry.
Marissa's favorite part of working with seniors is their ability to be straightforward and honest about what they expect, like, and dislike. She says they have built businesses, raised families, and traveled the world, so when they say a dish is reminiscent of their past, it brings her so much joy!
Marissa's favorite thing about working at The Blake is the core values and standards. She says it is truly an honor to be a part of a leadership team where compassion, excellence, respect, safety, and integrity shine!
When she is not working, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking. She feels as though it is her life's purpose to be a Chef, and she loves that she has the opportunity to serve our residents.
