Laurie began in the Assisted Living industry on January 4th. 1999 as a Sales Director. Within 9 months, she was running the community and has loved working in the field ever since. Her favorite part about working with seniors is the connection she’s always had with them. She loves to learn their stories and hear their history. Laurie says, “Everyone has a story, but an elderly person can share how that history personally affected them and how they overcame life’s challenges. It’s so much fun sharing in their joy.” When she’s not working, Laurie loves spending time with her family. She has a 13-year-old grandson who is her pride and joy. Her son, 37, and her daughter, 39, make her a proud mama every day. Laurie believes in and loves the work she does. Whether it’s resetting the internet or helping clean up trash, she strongly believes that all the work done in the community is important. She is proud to have a part in helping residents, associates, families, visitors, and vendors. “It’s such a joy and honor to be able to be a part of other people’s lives and find ways to make a difference in everything we do.”
