Denise Sutherland is the Director of Business Development at The Barclay at Pasadena. Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Denise began her career in healthcare after earning her degree in Respiratory Therapy from St. Petersburg Technical College.
She brings a rich and diverse background to her role. Denise spent seven years in critical care at Bayfront Medical Center before transitioning into business development in medical device sales, where she worked for 19 years. During this time, she partnered with hospitals, physicians, and sleep labs throughout the area, coordinating and marketing respiratory services and equipment for BayCare across three counties—including ventilator units in skilled rehab facilities. She later spent nine years in home health sales and marketing, collaborating with medical professionals to support patients needing home health services.
Denise’s favorite part of working with seniors is the opportunity to help, reassure, and guide them through her extensive experience. She finds deep reward in being a supportive presence and values the appreciation seniors show for compassionate guidance.
Her favorite part of working with QSLM is the supportive team environment and positive company culture, especially the way the organization has stood by the team through recent hurricane challenges.
When she’s not working, Denise enjoys Zumba, going to the beach, and visiting local restaurants for live music.
