Victor Smith is a seasoned healthcare leader with over 32 years of experience, including 26 years dedicated to senior living. As Executive Director of The Blake at Flowood, Victor leads with a spirit of compassion and integrity, rooted in his deep passion for serving older adults, especially those living with dementia. His leadership is marked by empathy, uplifting energy, and a strong commitment to excellence in care.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Victor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Jackson State University. He is a Certified Phlebotomist Instructor and Dementia Care Practitioner, with a career grounded in clinical knowledge and personal connection. From mentoring staff to building meaningful relationships with residents and families, Victor brings both heart and professionalism to his work.
Guided by Ephesians 4:32—“Be kind and compassionate to one another…”—he finds daily purpose in his faith and his family. Victor has been married to his wife, Tiosha, for 23 years, and together they are proud parents to their daughter, Skylar.
Outside of work, Victor enjoys staying active, boating, watching comedies, and traveling. Whether he’s leading a team or enjoying time on the water, he brings warmth, humor, and heart to everything he does. His favorite part of working with seniors is hearing their stories—real, vivid snapshots of history that offer wisdom, perspective, and lasting impact.
