Meet Our Team

April Ferrer serves as the Director of Business Operations at Barclay House of Tarboro. Originally from Tarboro, North Carolina, April brings a strong sense of dedication and community to her role.

Her favorite part of working with seniors is learning from their wisdom and listening to the rich stories of their life experiences—especially the contrast between past and present times. She finds deep fulfillment in these connections and the perspective they provide.

At Barclay House and within the QSLM family, April most appreciates the unwavering support and responsiveness of the leadership team. She feels valued and empowered, knowing that she’s part of a team that recognizes the importance of each community and its people.

When she’s not working, April enjoys spending time at the lake in her camper with her children and grandchildren. A passionate gardener, she also finds joy in caring for houseplants and taking trips to the mountains—especially in the fall when the foliage is at its most beautiful.

Seth Wagner is the Director of Activities at The Barclay House of Tarboro. Originally from Lumberton, North Carolina, he now resides in Winterville, North Carolina. Seth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

With more than 12 years of experience in the healthcare field, Seth has previously served as both an Activities Director and a Dementia Care Unit Director. His extensive background has given him a deep understanding of how to create engaging, meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of residents.

Seth’s favorite part of working with seniors is getting to know them personally—learning about their life experiences and the wisdom they share. He finds great joy in listening to their stories and helping them continue to live fulfilling lives.

What Seth values most about working at QSLM is being part of a company that genuinely cares for its residents and the team members who serve them.

Outside of work, Seth enjoys spending time with his wife, Haley, and their two Golden Retrievers, America and Charlotte. He’s also passionate about golf, fishing, reading, and watching sports—especially Duke basketball.

Grateful for the opportunity to make a difference each day, Seth feels blessed to work in a role where he can positively impact the lives of residents and their families.
