With a deep appreciation for the wisdom and life stories of older adults, Rhonda finds great joy in building relationships and guiding families through the journey of senior living. She is passionate about the industry and continues to enjoy learning and growing within it.

April Ferrer serves as the Director of Business Operations at Barclay House of Tarboro. Originally from Tarboro, North Carolina, April brings a strong sense of dedication and community to her role.

Her favorite part of working with seniors is learning from their wisdom and listening to the rich stories of their life experiences—especially the contrast between past and present times. She finds deep fulfillment in these connections and the perspective they provide.

At Barclay House and within the QSLM family, April most appreciates the unwavering support and responsiveness of the leadership team. She feels valued and empowered, knowing that she’s part of a team that recognizes the importance of each community and its people.

When she’s not working, April enjoys spending time at the lake in her camper with her children and grandchildren. A passionate gardener, she also finds joy in caring for houseplants and taking trips to the mountains—especially in the fall when the foliage is at its most beautiful.
