Debbie Hollenbach is the Executive Director at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Independent Living. She grew up in Pennsylvania and has lived in Vero Beach for 10 years. Debbie has been a nurse for 45 years, and she has certifications in Retirement Housing Professional from University of North Texas and in Long-Term Care from Mount Alloysius and Penn State. She has been in Senior Living for over 40 years. She started as a nurse and has been promoted to every position from Director to the COO.

Debbie loves working with seniors, seeing them smile, and ensuring that their needs are met no matter how simple or complicated they are. As a part of the QSLM team, she gets to do what she loves—bringing joy and love to all—every day.

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys gardening, nature, and all the animals. She has been described as Mother Nature by her friends. She also has a service dog named Sawyer, and they wake up every day knowing that they will make a difference in someone’s life.

Yvette Jenkin is the Director of Sales at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Independent Living. Originally from Puerto Rico, she moved to Florida over 26 years ago. She has a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico and over 25 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing. Yvette began her career in Orlando’s tourism industry and spent eight years as Sales and Marketing Manager for Delaware North at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. She later transitioned to senior living, working with premier independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities in the Brevard County area before bringing her experience and passion to The Barclay at Vero Beach - Independent Living.

The most rewarding part of Yvette’s work is helping seniors and their families find a community where they feel safe, supported, and excited about embracing a vibrant new chapter of life. She finds great joy in seeing residents build new friendships, participate in engaging activities, and truly thrive in their new home. Just as meaningful is witnessing the peace of mind families experience when they know their loved ones are happy, connected, and enjoying a fulfilling lifestyle.

One of Yvette’s favorite aspects of working with QSL is knowing she has the unwavering support of the Executive Team and Home Office. Their commitment to providing the resources, expertise, and tools she needs allows her to focus on building meaningful relationships and helping seniors find the lifestyle and peace of mind they deserve.

Yvette, her husband, and her daughter live in Melbourne, and when she’s not working, she enjoys playing golf, attending church in Vero Beach, watching movies, traveling, trying new restaurants, and volunteering.

Yvette is passionate about helping seniors and their families find not just a place to live, but a place they can truly call home. She is dedicated to making the transition to senior living a positive and rewarding experience. Renee Dupuis is the Director of Business Operations at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Independent Living. Renee is a Vero Beach native and has raised all her own children here. She has an Associate of Science degree from Indian River State College and a Bachelor’s in Nursing Science from the University of Florida. She has over 37 years of combined experience in the healthcare and hospitality industries. In addition to working as a Legal Assistant and a CPR/First Aid Instructor, she practiced as a nurse at Indian River Medical Hospital for 18 years.

For Renee, the most rewarding part of her job is hearing our resident's life stories, learning about their histories, and seeing them smile. As a part of the QSLM, she loves working with awesome team members and having support every step of the way.

Outside of work, Renee loves spending time with her five adult children and their families, and her favorite thing is watching her nine grandchildren play and laugh. Renee lives by the motto, "Great things come from hard work and perseverance."

Isabella Burns is the Sales Coordinator at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Independent Living. She grew up in West Virginia and moved to Florida when she was 12. Isabella has extensive experience in property management, especially student housing. She found it fulfilling to be able to provide housing for people and meet all their needs, while building trust and meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

Isabella’s favorite part of working with seniors is hearing their stories and learning from their life experiences, and she enjoys being a part of QSLM because of the culture and the excitement everyone brings to work each day.

When she’s not working, Isabella loves to read and go to the beach!

Carrie Jones is the Director of Activities at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Independent Living. A Vero Beach native, she has worked in Senior Living for over 30 years. She was a mentor for a previous community for 5 years, traveling to other communities to train Lifestyles Directors and Memory Care Directors on the standards of the company.

Carrie feels that her job is truly fulfilling, and her heart melts every time she sees the smiles on the faces of our residents. She loves knowing that she is making a difference in their lives and helping them live a happier, healthier lifestyle. As a part of QSLM, it never feels like a job to her. She says, “We are all one big team doing our best to make our residents first in all we do, no matter the job title.”

In her personal life, Carrie just became a grandmother, so when she’s not working, she spends every minute with her family.

Chef Derrick Henry, CEC, serves as the Director of Dining Services at The Barclay at Vero Beach Independent Living, bringing more than 20 years of hospitality experience and a passion for culinary excellence, team leadership, and exceptional dining experiences. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of settings, including hotels, convention centers, stadiums, and senior living communities.

Derrick’s experience spans independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities. He is committed to providing high-quality dining services that promote resident satisfaction, dignity, and quality of life.

One of Derrick’s memorable career accomplishments was preparing and serving 1,000 guests at an event at St. Benedict’s School in Newark, New Jersey, that included General Colin Powell.

Derrick believes outstanding hospitality begins with strong leadership, teamwork, and genuine care for the people being served. He strives to combine his diverse hospitality background with a commitment to excellence to create memorable dining experiences for residents, guests, and the community.
