Meet Our Team

Kim Gervais is the Director of Sales at The Barclay at Vero Beach – Assisted Living & Memory Care. She is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She holds a degree in Management Marketing from Northern Michigan University and Michigan Technological University, and she is Core Trained - ALF in Florida. Before joining us, she spent 21 years in senior living in Southeast Florida, and prior to that, she worked in hospitality - hotel and retail in Michigan.
Kim’s feels that caring for our seniors is a privilege and an honor, and she loves helping them realize that senior living will actually increase their independence. It gives them and their loved ones peace of mind in knowing they have the privacy of their apartment, but, if they need it, help is just a press of a button away. Working for QSLM, she likes the company’s values, especially the part about bringing joy to the community. She also likes the size of QSLM as a management company—not too large that you are lost in the crowd, but big enough to have great policies and procedures and to enhance the lives of seniors.
Outside of work, you can find Kim spending time with her grandchildren and walking with her husband and dog, Miley. She also likes to host big family dinners, but she adds, “My husband prepares the meals. I do not cook!”

Moira Amaral is the Director of Business Operations for our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Originally born in the USA, she grew up and lived in Bermuda until 2013 when she returned to the USA. Moira is ALF Core certified and has worked in managing private medical offices and property management. When she moved in 2013, she worked at an insurance brokerage firm until she found Assisted Living in 2017 and has been working in the field ever since. Her favorite part of working with seniors is making their lives a little easier and brighter. Moira believes that QSLM doesn't just feel like a workplace, and that she feels a sense of purpose when coming to work. She's grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. Outside of work, Moira is cooking, dancing, going out to dinner, and spending time with family and good friends.
